What you’ll achieve in the role:

The purpose of this role is to lead a high-performing, efficient, and customer-focused Income Management service that proactively manages rent accounts, prevents and reduces arrears, and helps customers sustain successful tenancies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a proactive, customer-first service that increases financial resilience through support, advice, and partnership working.
  • Reducing arrears and preventing evictions through early intervention, tailored repayment plans, and strong customer engagement.
  • Delivering excellent income performance by monitoring trends, achieving KPIs, reporting to leadership, and reducing former tenant arrears.
  • Ensuring compliance with Rent Standards, Consumer Standards, and all legal frameworks relating to arrears and debt recovery.
  • Providing effective leadership, coaching, and performance management for Income Officers.
  • Working closely with Finance to play a key role in the yearly rent increase process and Board updates.

What you’ll bring to Raven:

For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and statutory rent requirements and consumer standards.
  • Understanding of national and local welfare benefit policy, including Universal Credit.
  • Expertise in rent account management, arrears prevention, and performance management.
  • Proven knowledge of homelessness legislation and housing law, including court processes for debt recovery.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
