Job Description - Graphic Designer & Videographer

Raven is here to make a difference, working as a team to build homes and change lives. We’re also ambitious: a sector-leader in carbon reduction, with commercial ventures and a focus on the future.

Want to be part of this? We’re currently recruiting for a Graphic Designer and Videographer to join our Marketing and Communications team.

What you’ll achieve in the role:

The overall purpose of this role is to plan, execute, and lead on the graphic and digital design work for Raven Housing Trust.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating engaging visual content for a wide variety of different audiences to support Raven’s marketing efforts across multiple platforms.

  • Planning and executing a wide range of creative design and video projects, including directing, shooting, and editing video content, completing photography work, and leading on design content for internal and external campaigns.

  • Liaising with external suppliers and agencies, such as third party design agencies and photographers, to lead on design and photography projects.

  • Driving the direction and visual style of the Raven brand across digital and print mediums with support from the wider Marketing and Communications team.

What you’ll bring to Raven:

  • Evidenced experience in creating and delivering professional graphic design projects for print.

  • Evidenced experience in producing video content to promote products or services – can be in the commercial or not-for-profit sector.

  • Evidenced experience in creating motion graphic or animation.

  • Experienced in taking design briefs from conception to creation.

The post holder must be able to travel independently to locations in and around our operating geography – mainly Surrey, Sussex and South East of England, for filming and photography sessions.

You will also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively, and caring about making things better.

DBS clearance will be required for this role.

Applications for this role will close on Friday 26th July 2024. However, we encourage you to apply early, as the application process may close ahead of schedule due to high applicant volume.

What Raven will offer in return:

To create a great experience for our customers, we need to create a great experience for one another. What Raven offers goes beyond the ordinary, giving you the opportunity to join a community of people who share the same values and are passionate about making a difference.

Our reward package includes:

  • Competitive salaries

  • Fantastic work/life balance with flexible working and generous leave entitlement

  • Strong focus on learning and development, with opportunities to grow your skills and career

  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay

  • Funded health cash plan

  • Extensive wellbeing support

  • Voucher-based recognition scheme

  • Retail discounts
