Job Description - Solar Roofer Installer

Want to be part of this? We’re currently recruiting for a Roofer/Solar Installer to join our Raven Renewables team.

 

What you’ll achieve in the role:

 

The overall purpose of this role is to install solar panels on different types of roofs and platforms, and assisting electricians with other associated installation works.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • To support and undertake solar panel installation for occupied and empty properties up to current legislative standards, to prevailing performance standards and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and the Trust’s procedures.
  • To carry out solar thermal and solar photovoltaic (PV) roofing repairs and servicing and installations.
  • To work alongside business development teams to support the winning of new projects by pricing and developing delivery options.
  • Communicate with customers and keep them informed of install process work with the project manager and on-site lead to ensure projects are completed on time and issues are identified early so the impact is minimal and profit margins are protected.

What you’ll bring to Raven:

 

For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

  • Experienced in all aspects of roofing, including preparation works.
  • City & Guilds/NVQ Trade Qualified (or by demonstrable skill/experience) in the main trade.
  • Good verbal communication skills, ability to build report with customers in order to resolve customer queries and issues.
  • Ability to use modern communication technology and IT.
  • A full, clean driving licence.

DBS clearance will be required for this role.
